Sure, cultural music collaborations have been going on since probably Magellan circumnavigated the globe, and even some between Tibet and the West. But in this project, the goal is to keep multi-instrumentalist, Dorjee Tsering’s performances on dranyen, flute, piwang and voice as the centrepiece, and to carefully build around it with other instruments. Like preserving a beautiful ancient building, telling its story, and bringing it into the modern world with support structures to help insure its longevity.
